Legacy

A few nights before Rosanna went to heaven I was laying down with her and she told me about some of her final wishes. I was so far from accepting our reality, but that night I let her talk. I'm glad I did. This is one of her dreams and it's happening. Rosanna wants every student at both of the schools she taught at and the school she went to as a child to receive a book on their birthday.

When we were growing up, whenever Rosanna got upset with me she would go to her room and read. Sometimes she would stay in there for hours, which gave me plenty of time to work on my apology. Usually she would come out of her room and act as if nothing ever happened and we could go right back to playing. Reading a book was magical for Rosanna. I wish I had that same attention span, but I hope to continue to instill that love of reading into Owen as he grows up. It would mean so much to her, she loved to read to her little boy .
